Civics 101

Want to really understand what is going on in the news? This 6-week series will cover topics like impeachment, campaign fundraising, states' rights, immigration, executive leadership, voting and the electorate, women in politics, recent and upcoming supreme court cases, and the impact of a divided government. Our instructor is Paul Winston, Professor of Political Science at Oakland Community College.

Lots of real-life examples from the the past year will be used to illustrate the lessons. There will be plenty of time to ask questions. The goal is for you to feel empowered and informed, and to be engaged in your community.
